What is this place?

The graphics collective is a, well, collection (and kinda an archive?) of web graphics made by people across the internet, with image descriptions and credit.
Focused mainly on buttons and blinkies, made by people with their own sites. (other stuff will be added from time to time, its not strict)

About me!

You can call me Es (xe/xir) :]! Im just a little internet kitty that wormed its way into ur router and likes to make web graphics and stuff from time to time. basically everything here is done by hand so takes me a fair ammount of time TwT

Why did I start the Graphics Collective?

I love seeing huge web graphic collections around the web but sadly crediting isnt something that happens often :( so many cool things and their creators get lost along the way! So, i started this site! hopefully as a place for people to discover cool little gifs and their artists <3

How are graphics added?

It's a very manual process -w-'

1. Find a site with handmade graphics
2. Download em and put the creator's site name in the file
3. Make a png version of any gif graphics (though krita (jd) or paint (b1)
4. Adding images to the site and (one of the longest parts) writing alt text for each images. (Having alt text, especially text describing who characters from media are, is helpful to people who need alt text and for projects like these ^^ (ive had to do a lot of reasearch on random fandoms lmao))
5. Putting the static version on the frozen page
6. Yippee finished! Now reapeat :)
